Bishop Patrick and Diocesan Team to host series of seminars, “A Walk through the Mass”
In March 2012 Bishop Patrick Dunn and a presenting team from the Diocesan Centre will host a series of four seminars at Christ the King Church in Owairaka, Auckland to enable Catholics to understand the Mass better.

“We anticipate a high level of interest in this series of four seminars,” says Adriana Janus, a Liturgy Advisor and a member of the presenting team. “Catholics will find the Mass more meaningful if they understand why we do what we do during Mass; it’s like a ‘Beneath the Surface’ look at the celebration of Mass.”

This series of seminars will be held on the following evenings: Mondays 12, 19 March and Tuesdays 13, 20 March from 7.30pm to 9pm. There will be ample free parking for participants at Christ the King Church in Owairaka. Bishop Patrick Dunn, the Liturgy Centre team and an as yet unconfirmed guest speaker will present the topics for the four evenings.

Participants will also have the opportunity to ask Bishop Patrick and the presenting team questions about the Mass at each seminar.

Catholics are encouraged to register by Friday 9 March 2012 for all the seminars by e-mailing Christ the King Parish Owairaka at christking@xtra.co.nz or calling the parish office on 09-627 7744.

About us
The Liturgy Centre was established by Bishop Delargey, to provide a permanent vessel to carry the living rituals of the Catholic Church into the future of the Diocese of Auckland, New Zealand. This mission is reflected in our Maori name Te Kawe Ritenga Tapu - To carry the sacred rituals.

Based at Pompallier Diocesan Centre, Liturgy Centre staff work with Bishop Dunn and other liturgical experts throughout Auckland to provide formation, information and resources on the public worship of the Church.
